This little guide aims to help you find all the activities near the river for the youngest (or grown up children like us !). Sport, discoveries, sharing, adventure … There’s something there for any taste and any age !

The Castles and other Walls have always been a fascination at every age. And in Anjou, there’s no escaping the castles ! Sightseeing, unfolding their histories or stimulating children’s imagination : it would be a shame not to enjoy it !

Fishing

Of course ! What better place than a boat to bring a fishing rod ? The Sarthe and Mayenne rivers are famous for fishing. It’s the perfect spot to share a nice moment and pass on this custom ! Don’t forget to get a “holidays” fishing licence !

Kevin’s advice : you can rent a small barbecue gaz at your departure : perfect for the barbecue party after your fishing session !

Geocaching

That is a good way to put your smartphone up to use, to discover astounding places and share good times with the family. Take on a life-size adventure ! All along the river, go uncover the caches ! But what is that you are telling me ?!

Guillaume’s advice : ask for an initiation at your departure from Sablé Sur Sarthe, I will take care of it !

Escape Game

This original concept that came to us straight from Japan gets your crew in a life-size cooporation game set in different times and stories. Case cracking, deduction, teamwork : an experience that we strongly advise to try out if you go to Angers, Le Mans or Laval : giggling guaranteed ! The perfect activity for teenagers ! The Locks

The locks of course ! The most impatient to go through a lock are always the youngest ! Go on shore, handle the wheels, empty and fill the lock : what more fun can there be ?
