The 70% balance should be paid one month before departure. Driving is only permitted for persons over the age of 16, with the presence on board and under the supervision of an adult. The skipper must be accompanied by at least one person over the age of 16 years old to perform maneuvers or steer the boat.<br \/>The charter company reserves the right to refuse to provide the boat if the skipper appears unfit to assume this responsibility, notwithstanding any references, certificates, or qualifications presented; or if at least one person over the age of 16 is not accompanied. In this case, the charter company may terminate the contract without refunding any sums paid.<br \/>The skipper will take possession of the boat after completing the formalities and reviewing the sailing instructions. The hirerer must comply with river navigation regulations and the instructions provided by the rental company and river authorities.<br \/>Night navigation, towing, lending, and\/or subletting the boat are not permitted.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-90293fd elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"90293fd\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0427a63\" data-id=\"0427a63\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d85e7f0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d85e7f0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3 - Deposit and excess<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-92e71da elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"92e71da\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-b45f606\" data-id=\"b45f606\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d79b407 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d79b407\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A deposit is left at departure either by :<\/p><ul><li>Credit card : a preauthorization blocked during the duration of the cruise and unblocked by Anjou Navigation in a 48hrs notice + your bank notice, for an approximate 4 working days.<\/li><li>French check covering the amount of the deductible<\/li><\/ul><p>The deposit is cancelled as long as the boat is returned in the same state as given at departure and that there is no additionnal fees left to pay at return.<\/p><p>The hirerer is still held responsible to the amount of the deductible in case of loss, damage or destruction of the boat or its equipments ; refloating fees due to the hirerer or one of his\/her passengers fault ; fees following replacement of any equipment missing or damaged ; delays in boat return ; fees following a boat abandon, fuel cost and other supplies. Prices may vary depending on the varying fuel prices. In case of a theft, the hirerer must make an official statement to the local Police authorities and must show the original documents given by the Police to the rental base. The following fees are retained :<\/p><ul><li>More than 4 weeks before departure : 30% of the amount of the booking<\/li><li>Less than 4 weeks before departure : 80% of the amount of the booking<\/li><\/ul><p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anjou-navigation.fr\/en\/postponement-guarantee\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">postponement guarantee<\/span><\/a> and\/or a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anjou-navigation.fr\/en\/cancellation-policy-anjou-navigation\/\">cancellation insurance<\/a><\/span> are available to the hirerer when booking. Also, a one-way can be turned into a round trip, for reasons that are not under the control of Anjou Navigation. In that last case, the one-way fees would be refunded. Anjou Navigation cannot be held responsible in the event of interruptions or restrictions to navigation for reasons beyond its control : construction, floods, drought, strikes, administrative directives, etc. If these events make the cruise impossible, the renter may either change the departure and return dates and\/or locations by providing an equivalent or superior boat; or the amounts paid may be used for a subsequent trip to be agreed upon by the parties. Otherwise, they will be retained by the charter company. If these events occur during the cruise, resulting in the complete suspension of navigation and the loss of one or more days, the amounts paid may be used for a subsequent trip, on the same basis and in the same season only. However, this service will be subject to a charge in the event of improper behavior by the hirerer.<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Breakdowns not attributable to the hirerer : <\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Lost time resulting from a breakdown during the rental period will be reimbursed pro rata to the remaining rental time, less a 24-hour excess. <\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Breakdowns attributable to the renter : <\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">If, after inspection, it is determined that the breakdown is attributable to the hirerer, the hirerer will not be entitled to any compensation for the loss of use. The hirerer must report any damage caused or incurred to the rental company, who will provide instructions on how to proceed. The hirerer must not repair himself or by a thrid party any damage and\/or breakdowns incurred without the rental company&#8217;s consent. The hirerer agrees to complete the accident report and have it completed and countersigned by third parties.
